+ Within 5 minutes walk (flat road) from Kyoto Station, this is excluding the time required to navigate between the different train lines stations (Shinkansen / JR / Subway etc). + Lawson convenience store is just beside the hotel. Hotel is behind Kyoto Avanti Shopping Mall (there is Don Quijote in the mall), which is just across Kyoto Station. + Check in was smooth using machine (with multiple languages selection), with front desk staff who can speak English around to assist. + Room size is decent. Able to open a 29" luggage and a 24" luggage with lots of walking spaces. Well maintained and clean. + Equipped with a double bed (queen size-160cm width), 1-seater sofa, stool, coffee table, blackout curtain, 2 mugs, kettle, tissue paper, fridge, air humidifier, TV, hairdryer, trash bin. + There is a mirror at the entrance. Beside the mirror, there is an opened closet with 6 hangers provided (limited hanging space). + Bathroom is compact with seating toilet (with washlet function), basin, mirror, small bin and bathtub with curtain. Hair shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and face/hand wash soap provided in the bathroom. + The rest of the essential toiletries can be obtained at the lobby: sunscreen, hair treatment, hair band, shower cap, cotton pad, cotton swab, toothbrush, toothpaste, cleansing oil, fash wash, comb, body sponge, moisturizing lotion, moisturizing milk, razor, facial mask, bath salt etc. Also at the lobby: creamer, coffee, green tea, stirrer, sugar. Shoe dryers, irons, ironing board, hair curler, mobile charger etc are also available, just check with the front desk staff. + Like the hard bed and pillows (2 hard 2 soft) as they are good for back and neck. + New towels, face towels & floor mat will be hang at the door if the "do not disturb" sign is placed at the door. + Wifi is good. There are a few electrical outlets (Japanese). Love the night lamp that can be dimmed according to personal preference.

We really enjoyed our stay, the location, staff, breakfast and facilities were exceptional. The breakfast had a variety of Japanese/asian food and it also offered foreign breakfast which is amazing especially since we have a preschooler. He loved the selection of breads and miso soup and would have it every breakfast, they offered plates and cuttleries for kids which made him more involved and engaged. There's a good range of cold and hot drinks to choose from. The dining/kitchen staff were always there to greet the guests, take the breakfast ticket and offer trays, it really have a very welcoming ambiance. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and approachable, normally other receptionist are serious and all about work and the staff here can be candid and friendly with their approach. The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, convenient store, restaurants and the shopping centre. I love how this hotel is located at the West Exit/Entrance of Hachijoguchi or Kyoto Station as I find that that opposite side where Kyoto Tower is, seems too be more crowded and busy. It's nice to come back at night to a more serene and quiet street after a tiring day from daily activities. There's also a microwave, ice and vending machine and washing machine near the reception. We shipped our luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto and when we arrived our luggage was ready for us to collect. When I asked the hotel about shipping our luggage to Kansai airport for our flight they've provided the information and helped when I organized the pick up. Overall I would recommend the Sotetsu Fresa Inn hotels and I'll definitely stay here again.

Breakfast is delicious, and the room I was in is so clean! Honestly expecting it to be sub-par, small, and maybe a little dusty - but it was none of that. Hotels like these back where I am from would have been below average but this is anything but that. Super clean, and honestly the room was bigger than I thought. The staff is really helpful -- answering all questions to the best of their ability despite a language barrier. One of them even chased me down to clarify a question because they were afraid of giving me the wrong answer hahaha they help with luggage delivery and they also have a partnership with Airporter. Highly recommend breakfast as well -- i fell in love with their chicken and Japanese hamburger steak - if I knew I was going to miss it, I definitely would have gotten more when I was there haha The info sheets they left in the room were super thoughtful - explaining how the services worked and even how the TV remote worked. The place is centrally located -- literally a two streets away from Kyoto Station, next door to a convenience store, and across the block from Don Quixote and a drug store for any wants/needs.

Great place to stay about 120 metres from Kyoto Station, just steps away from the airport limousine bus stop (for buses to both Kansai Airport and Itami Airport) and a Lawson convenience store right next door. 7-11 a little further down the street as well. Rooms were clean, comfortable and thoughtfully fitted out. The hotel has a self-service amenities station at the lobby that offers an array of items one might need for your stay - all the coffee and tea you want, it also provides bath salt and face wash, and even provides charging cables/adapters should you need one. Conversing with reception can be challenging but they have thoughtfully equipped the frontdesk with translation apps! You’ll want for nothing staying here! Highly recommended.

Loved my stay. Would be back for my next Japan trip. Perfect location for transport. - less than 5 minutes walk to Kyoto station and less than 10 minutes walk to all different bus routes going in all different directions. - E-bikes or scooters can be found outside, easy to access once you download the app if you feel like cruising around the street! Highly recommend you do that and super easy to navigate the app. - Staff are super friendly and helpful. - Room is actually perfect size for a solo traveler. So much movement! - Lawson is next door, super close to different types of restaurants and multiple places in Kyoto station or close by for food.
